Companies to offer Location Based Mobile Marketing services to Movie Theaters in the U.S.

Bluepod Media announces the launch of its USA location based mobile marketing services in coalition with Deluxe Media Management and Retail Sales Inc., a subsidiary of Deluxe Entertainment Services Group Inc., and Cinema Scene Marketing LLC.

The proven Bluepod Media model, established for over 4 years in the UK, is now rolling out with x and y cinema chains in North America with its cutting edge user engagement and ad serving solution.

The Bluepod Media interface puts the user of handheld devices such as smart phones, feature phones and gaming systems in control, with simple content navigation, allowing swift access to the desired content and a branded experience. Users can engage directly with advertisers via Bluetooth and WiFi entirely for free. Content opportunities range from videos and wallpapers to apps, calendar reminders and more. Campaigns will integrate with Cinema Scene’s TrailerVision™ digital signage network. TrailerVision™ messaging will encourage moviegoers to browse Bluepod Media content on their mobile devices.

“Bluepod Media is thrilled to be working with Deluxe and Cinema Scene in bringing a whole new cinema mobile experience into US cinema foyers. We look forward to rolling out the mobile proposition over the coming months”, said Tom Shrager, Co-founder, Bluepod Media North America.

“Deluxe is delighted to be collaborating with Bluepod Media and Cinema Scene on the Location Based Marketing platform,” said Michael Alvarez, President Deluxe Media Management. “By continually evolving our marketing services, we are able to help our clients find new ways to speak to consumers.”

“Cinema Scene’s alliance with Deluxe and Bluepod Media will allow us to provide a robust mobile solution in conjunction with our TrailerVision™ network. Location Based Marketing lends itself well to the cinema space, and is a great benefit to our clients and exhibition partners,” said Joe Ross, Managing Principal Cinema Scene Marketing

Coupling Bluepod Media’s location based mobile expertise with Deluxe’s experience in advertising and marketing distribution services to the US entertainment industry, and Cinema Scene’s deep-rooted relationships with theatrical exhibitors, means Bluepod, Deluxe and Cinema Scene can deliver consumer engagement for advertisers in theaters of the highest quality.

THQ has commissioned Bluepod Media to be part of the GAME and Gamestation WiFi launch in stores nationally. The developed concept enables consumers to engage with content for THQ’s new game release Space Marine, within a captive portal environment that offers multiple content opportunities to the relevant consumer. This can be viewed by all smart phone users.

Importantly, Bluepod Media has developed a unique QR code that is promoted on pack in store and which, when scanned, links in directly to the WiFi in-store and takes the user to the mobile website for THQ’s Space Marine, guaranteeing best experience and speedy download of selected content.

The Bluepod Media consumer journey deliberately enhances the experience in store and uses multiple channels, whether WiFi, QR codes, NFC or any other new developments that are coming on line.,

The QR code, linking to the mobile website for Space Marine, created by Bluepod, has also been utilised by THQ for national 6 sheets and other outdoor media channels.
